Invidious is an anonymous browser or ‘proxy’ for YouTube. It allows regular browsing of YouTube and it also acts as a YT downloader. If you are capable of hosting software or running a docker image, you can set invidious up on your own servers via this open-source project. If you would rather just jump right in and get downloading youtube videos, subtitles, or just anonymously watching youtube open the invidious youtube server at invidious.domain.glass Image may be NSFW.
